Here we go

California's 2004-enacted Proposition 58 requires the State to balance its budget. Revolutionary - how about something like this for the US Federal Government, the UK and its regions?

Now Governor Schwarzenegger is looking for a 10% cut in expenditures across the board, as the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Hi Verlin, and welcome! Wish I knew more about the subject, but then again, I'm not sure even economists understand economics. I recall hearing that Proposition 13 (1978) was forecast (by a raft of senior econs) to finish-off California - and then the State boomed! In any case, take heart from the fact that you live in such a beautiful State. Merry Christmas!
